Yesterday, when we were crossing abdaly street, 3 green patrol jeeps, passed infront our car. The driver told us it was Prince Ali ben Al Husain, brother of Abdullah King of Jordan.
Prince Ali and Princess Haya, are the children of Queen Alia (may she rest in peace). Queen Alia is Palestinian from Nables. After she died in airplane crush, king al Hussain changed amman airport name to (Queen Alia international airport). The driver also said that Prince Ali is personal gaurd of King Abdullah.
I asked him about King Abdullah's mother. He told us her name is Princess Mona. she is non muslim and that is why King al Hussain (may he rest in peace) didn't declare her as Queen of Jordan.
I googled the royal family of Jordan, and that what i found :)
King al Hussain first wife:
Al Sharifa Dina daughter of Abdalhamed, third cousin to King Talal. she was born in Eygpt, graduated from Cambridge University. She got married to King al Hussain in 19th of April 1955, she was 26 yrs old and he was only 19 and they divorced in 1957. She gave birth to her only daughter Princess Aisha.
Second Wife:
Antoinette Gardiner, the daughter of a retired British Captain (Walter Gardiner) was working in Jordan. she married King al Hussain in May 25, 1961. They divorced in 1972. She gave birth to:
Abdullah (born 1962), Faisal (born 1963), Aisha (born 1968), and Zain (born 1968).
Third Wife:
Queen Alia. She died in 1978. And I said above she gave birth to Prince Ali and Princess Haya.
Forth Wife:
Queen Noor Al Hussein and her name was Elizabeth Najeeb Halaby, born in August 23, 1951 in the United States in the city of Washington. Her father is of Syrian origin and he worked in the U.S. government and the airline.
Queen Noor graduated from Princeton University in 1974, with a degree in architecture, civil and Shara. And then traveled to the Middle East where she worked in Jordan for the development of the airport.
She married King Hussein in June 15, 1978. She gave birth to two sons, Prince Hamzah and Prince Hashem, and two daughters are Princess Iman and Princess Raya. She lived with King Hussein, until his death in 1999.
